SABIC launches new renewable polyolefins portfolio
SABIC today announced that it will launch its first portfolio of certified renewable polyolefins, certified under the ISCC Plus certification scheme, which involves strict traceability and requires a chain of custody based on a mass balance system. The portfolio, which includes renewable polyethylenes (PE) and polypropylenes (PP), responds to the increasing demand for sustainable materials from SABIC’s customers, most notably in the packaging industry, and is applicable for all its polyolefins grades, potentially for all market applications.

Healthcare market to profit from SABIC’s extended plastics portfolio, unveiled at Pharmapack 2014
SABIC is coming to Pharmapack Europe 2014 (Paris, February 12-13) to demonstrate its intent to further expand into the healthcare market. On Stand 354, SABIC will introduce two new pharmaceutical grades of polypropylene intended for syringes, other medical dosing application devices and also for packaging for healthcare applications. The two grades, SABIC® PP PCGR40 and a lubricated variant, SABIC® PP PCGR40L, are high-flow random copolymers typically used for producing thin-walled products with high levels of clarity.
